TALIS Group Centralizes its Global Trade Compliance with Management Dynamics' Export On-Demand
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ, September 7, 2011 -- Management Dynamics, a leading provider of global trade management solutions, today announced that TALIS Group, a world-leading provider of water valves and services for the whole water cycle, has gone live with the Management Dynamics' Export On-Demand solution for restricted party screening (RPS). Deploying Export On-Demand is a foundation technology for TALIS's goal of centralizing and automating its global export compliance processes.
Over the past year, the company's European group has acquired multiple companies that now operate as TALIS Group subsidiaries, prompting TALIS to consolidate management of its global trade compliance capabilities. Since the beginning of May, Management Dynamics' Export On-Demand solution has been running at all German entities in TALIS Group, with additional European entities scheduled to come online in stages over the coming weeks.
The TALIS Group subsidiaries trade with approximately 30,000 parties around the globe, creating a highly complex compliance environment. TALIS chose the Management Dynamics solution because of its worldwide breadth of coverage, spanning more than 200 restricted party lists, as well as its ability to support a phased deployment. TALIS' most immediate need was automating restricted party screening, which is a key component of Management Dynamics' comprehensive Export On-Demand solution, yet have the ability to easily add additional functionality, such as License Determination and Classification, as their compliance needs evolve.
The Management Dynamics' Export On-Demand solution allows TALIS to centralize compliance management from TALIS in Germany. Utilizing a multi-tenant and multi-organization architecture, team-based workflow and on-demand in the cloud, all subsidiaries and offices within TALIS Group can easily manage their own customer shipments.
"Restricted party screening is the first step in our long-term strategy to implement a complete export control program," said Manuela Tarasow, Trade Compliance Manager at TALIS Germany, and head of the trade compliance program for TALIS Group. "With the modular structure of Management Dynamics' Export On-Demand solution, we are assured of easy expansion to further automate our export processes."
The Management Dynamics' Export On-Demand solution was implemented in just five weeks from project kick-off to go-live.
Nathan Pieri, Senior Vice President of Product Management and Marketing at Management Dynamics, commented: "With its highly complex organizational structure and rapid expansion, TALIS Group has done very well to implement the first stage of a centralized global trade compliance program in such a short time."
